What are they thinking…
Typical of the City of Virginia Beach, and the A-HOLE developers, who won’t be happy until every square foot of this town is covered in concrete. A couple of weeks ago I was in the Pungo Ferry Road area doing other things, and I saw this sign across the river.
The sign says for lease, but it is actually for sale…
Just what we need, more ugly overpriced condo’s adjoining relatively undisturbed areas.
I can just imagine that someone has something as ugly as those ugly condo’s at Sandbridge.
I was wondering what the actual status of the land there was, so I did a little research, and found some interesting things…
First of all whomever is selling it is going to make one hell of a profit, because according to the city, this parcel last sold in July of 2007 for $61,000 and is now on the market for $1,080,000 is a roughly $1,019,000 profit. Nice turn around in just about 6 months, by anyone’s standard.
I wonder what could have changed to cause such an escalation in value, where in the previous 8 years, the value of that same land went from $30k to $61k.
Here is an excerpt from the realtor’s flyer…
Here is the Parcel info from the City Of Virginia Beach… ![]()
Here is the sales Disclosure from the City Of Virginia Beach… ![]()
And here is the Value History from the City Of Virginia Beach…![]()
All the above information is available on the City Of Virginia Beach Web site, emapping and GPIN’s are cool…
Looking at the adjoining parcels, it is interesting to see that they are owned bay the State of Virginia, or the Nature Conservancy, and both are preserves.
A map for reference
