Launch Site Re-Write

I have really started in earnest working on the re-write of the launch site portion of kayakvb.com, and at a minimum I will be switching from Yahoo Maps to google maps. The other things that are on my short list of things to add are directions to and from a specific location, downloadable GPS waypoints.

I have been considering adding some sort of user feedback or comments capability for each launch, as I do not have the time to visit every location on a regular basis, and it would be a good way to keep others informed of the status or condition of launch sites.

Garbage Question

So today I was was taking an entirely boring trip on the Albermarle and Chesapeake Canal, and after spotting and picking up the third empty floating Pepsi bottle in about a quarter mile.

I was pondering the following questions

Do other people gather the garbage as they pass by kayaking?
Will/Do they go out of their way to pick something out of the water?
Do they/you see a trend in the trash collected? (Budweiser Bottles and Cans is on the top of list for me, Pepsi #2)
Where do they draw the line at grossness?
