Paddle for the Bay is an outrigger and kayak racing event that benefits the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s work to restore and protect the health of the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams. (CBF.ORG)

The Pirates Of Lynnhaven will be holding a 10 mile paddle from Dismal Swamp Canal Park north to Deep Creek Locks Park on April 18, 2009 @ 0900 to raise money for Operation Smile.

The participation fee is $10.00 per paddler and you are requested raise further donations with a pledge form.

A team of 4 Virginia Beach Fire Fighters will be paddling 1,000 miles from Ft Lauderdale to Virginia Beach. The goal of this effort is to raise $20,000 to support The Shriners Burns Institute.
