For some reason, when I bought the camera, broke down and bought the extended warranty, not something I normally do but I’m glad I did this time. My wife dropped the lens off at the Ritz Camera, where I purchased it, and apparently the lens is covered, and I should see the repaired lens or a replacement in a couple weeks.
